On Sunday, October 6, 2024, Gatesville Baptist Church will host a Homecoming celebration, Remembering God's Faithfulness to this gathering of saints over the last 170 years.
Why a Homecoming celebration?
As a church, we want to take time and celebrate what God has done for our congregation and the families it has impacted over the 170 years that God has provided.

Also, we want to be faithful to God's Word when He commands us to share with our children to remember Him for what He has done and to pass on the things that continue to encourage us in our faith and to build us up as a faithful church, taking the Gospel to the nations.
What will be do during this Homecoming celebration?
Our Homecoming celebration will look similar to our regular Sunday gathering with the reading of Scripture, prayer, congregational singing, a Children's Moment, Special Music, and the preaching of God's Word; there may be a few extra special pieces added.

As with any good Southern Baptist gathering, a meal will be involved. It's not just about the food but also the community around the tables, fellowshipping, and sharing memories.
​
A special room will be set up in the Fellowship Hall to remember loved ones from the past.
There will be more information to come as the date gets closer.
